MEET MY WORLD 2016

We are delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for Meet My World this 13th of September at the Union Chapel in London.

Following the success of 2014, Andina and Amantani will present a new series of short films written and presented by the children. This time, they will be teaching us how to have fun without technology.

To bring the films to life, we will be serving up a fresh slice of ‘edible cinema’, including dishes created by the children and I. You will be guided through an interactive experience as you eat what you see on the screen, an extraordinary multi-sensory experience.

It always amazes me to see the fantastic work our friends are doing at Amantani. It makes us all proud and we will continue supporting through our restaurants Ceviche Soho, Andina and now Ceviche Old St. We look forward to another great year working together.

THANK YOU #MEETMYWORLD

Andina and Amantani’s launch event for Meet My World was a huge success – you can watch a cool video about the event here. The Meet My World campaign has only just started though and we now need your help. Just watch the children’s films and take a photo of yourself with the message ‘Thank You’ written on a piece of paper. Then tweet the photo using #MeetMyWorld. We will show all the pictures to the children of Amantani’s boarding houses to show them how valued they are across the whole world.

ANDINA AND AMANTANI PRESENT MEET MY WORLD

Andina and Amantani’Meet My World edible film nights were a huge success. We sold out 3 weeks in advance and served small, beautiful bites lovingly packaged in our Andina Lunch Boxes to over 600 people. Each bite accompanied a Meet My World Film produced by the brilliant Peruvian director Cristina Patiño Sheen and written by a different child in Amantani’s care. MEET MY WORLD AND ANDINA

Meet My World is a very special project our restaurant Andina is working on with Amantani. 12 children from our boarding houses at Amantani have created 12 short films to teach us about cooking food and growing ingredients in the Andes. These films will be screened for the first time at two unique evenings on the 6th and 7th of May. Each screening will become an 'edible cinema' style event where our Andina team and I will offer nibbles relative to each film as you watch it. Please come to this unique events. All proceeds go to Amantani.

AMANTANI

Amantani helps some of the poorest children in Peru by providing boarding houses for them to sleep and eat within as well as the chance of an education. Our aim is to connect our teams in London, our customers and fans with Amantani through a series of initiatives and events. This enables us to raise money for Amantani and create awareness for the fantastic work they are doing in Peru.

OUR SOCIAL MISSION

Fred Branson, co-director and founder of Amantani, embarked on a social entrepreneur mission setting up boarding houses so girls as young as 8 years old could have a place to sleep, receive an education, be fed and treated with love and kindness. I was excited and impressed by what Fred and his colleagues were doing and the ways they achieved results so I told Fred that I would help him fundraise and would support him in anything he needed. A year later he and his amazing co-Director Chris, made me a Trustee of Amantani. We have three houses at present, and have also embarked upon a schools partnership project helping these improve in these rural communities.

SUPPORT

We are a small but beautifully formed charity with great leadership that is both humble and accountable. We do everything we can to manage, run and care for children by using fundraising money as transparently and as effectively as possible. We organise entertaining and fun events such as photo exhibitions, fun runs and mountain walk challenges throughout the year that bring people together. Thank you for your support.
